Overview


The Kanex MHL HDMI Adapter gives you access to your favorite HD videos, games, photos and other media from your phone to your HDTV. This state of the art technology utilizes the existing micro USB port to create a HDMI interface from your portable device while simultaneously charging it.

Optimized for Portable Devices
Your mobile device will directly mirror the content to your HDTV via MHL. It also enables operation of your mobile device in MHL mode so you can continue to use it for normal usage such as receiving calls & e-mails while connected.
HD DTS Supports HD Video & Digital Surround Sound
Experience HD video content with up to 1080p/60 picture quality, and digital audio up to 192 kHz, capable of delivering 7.1 channel surround sound from your mobile device.
Simultaneous Power Charging
While in MHL mode your device will receive 5 volts/500 mA of power that are simultaneously provided from an HDTV power source or power outlet. In order for the MHL adapter to function power must be present.

 

Simple Installation from Mobile Device to HDTV
Simple connect your HDMI cable into the Kanex MHL Adapter and then connect the other end to the HDMI port on your HDTV. Next, your power source to the MHL Adapter via Micro USB. Lastly, connect your MHL adapter to your mobile device’s microUSB port.

Hi RJ, This MHL Adapter is currently compatible with MHL-enabled devices which are Samsung Galaxy SII (including the upcoming Epic 4G Touch from Sprint, Attain from AT&T, and Hercules from T-Mobile), Samsung Infuse 4G, HTC EVO 3D, Sensation 4G, Flyer & VIEW 4G from Sprint. We anticipate there being more models in the future.


I have a HTC Sensation, and I am wanting to be able to view the whole phone screen on the TV via HDMI, not just 'stream media' My question is, will I see the whole phone interface on the tv, menus and all? as I understand it DLNA for example only shows the 'movie' not the phone interface... that will not do it for me, so will your product do more? This would let me for example do demonstrations on the 'big screen', surf the Internet etc etc. Warmly, Marty
Hi Marty, Yes you can! Our Kanex MHL HDMI adapter will mirror your HTC Sensation's content directly on to your HDTV. You'll be able to play games, watch movies on Netflix, answer e-mails, etc. on your big screen. Full mirroring is definitely possible with our adapter.


Does the Kanex MHL HDMI Adapter support HDMI-CEC and translate it into HML's RCP? I.e. can I use my TV's remote control (on TV's that support HDMI-CEC) to control the connected MHL device?
Yes, The Kanex MHL HDMI Adapter and the 10ft. cable support full HDMI -CEC Protocols.


Would this device work with Nook Tablet? The Nook has a Micro USB but I don't know if it open for this type of use.
Mhl requires special hardware, not just software. Therefore, for right now it does not support Micro USB.

Device: Others - Year: 2012/10 		I got an mhl adapter so I can stream netflix from my phone to my tv. it works pretty good but I wish I didn't have to plug power into it to work. and actually the power plug got pushed inside of the plastic housing after just half a dozen uses. I really hope I don't have to pay anymore huge shipping cost to get it fixed or replaced.
